Resident Educator Summative Assessment task overview available
An overview of the tasks required for the 2013-2014 Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA), a performance-based assessment that third-year resident educators will take this year, is now available here along with a new fact sheet. The overview provides a description of the five tasks that must be completed, with the first task window opening Nov. 11. The department’s RESA Web page also will soon link to an online Ohio Resident Educator Summative Assessment Participant Handbook, which will contain the full description of each task and associated rubrics.
Registered RESA candidates also will soon receive an email message from Teachscape with instructions for setting up an account to take the assessment. The email addresses are from data that candidates or their program coordinators have entered within the department’s Connected Ohio Records for Educators (CORE) system – so candidates should access CORE through their SAFE accounts to be sure their email addresses are correct. Questions may be directed to ODEREProgram@education.ohio.gov.
