Does your educator license expire in 2017? You can now renew it!

The Ohio Department of Education’s online application system is now open for renewal of educator licenses that are due to expire on June 30, 2017. If you have met your requirements for renewal, you can get ahead by submitting your application. Even if you are not ready to apply, we suggest that you review this article for tips on making the process go smoothly. You will even find information on applying for a new credential. Avoid the rush and apply early!

​Educators needed for paid positions to score the Ohio Resident Educator Summative Assessment

The Ohio Department of Education is looking for experienced Ohio educators to work online from home as they score the 2016-2017 Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA). Educopia, the contractor that administers the assessments for the Department, is now collecting contact information from those who will be interested in applying to serve in these paid positions. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of teaching experience in a preK through grade 12 setting.

Ohioans can nominate a teacher for the Presidential Awards of Excellence in Mathematics and Science

Public and private school educators, parents or community members may nominate teachers of grades 7-12 for the Presidential Awards of Excellence in Mathematics and Science. It’s a good idea to start the process soon. Even though nominations are due April 1, each nominated teacher will need time to prepare an application and a videotaped classroom lesson before the application deadline on May 1.
