Permanent and non-tax certificate holders - are your background checks up-to-date?

Educators who hold permanent certificates and permanent non-tax certificates are required by state law to update their FBI criminal background checks every five years through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). But, I also know that soon she’ll be spending most of her time with individuals who will have greater influence on her than I do – her teachers.

Free Beach Bags and virtual summer camp offer parents learning activities for K-6 children

With two new sets of free online materials – Beach Bags and Camp INFOhio – parents now have more fun ways to keep their children learning at home this summer. We encourage schools and teachers to make links to these materials available to their parents – or print the short handouts for families’ home use.
