Many school districts are asking questions about which high school students should take state tests during the fall administration testing window. State law (House Bill 7) gives students the option to retest for any reason during each administration window going forward. Testing times will be shorter for 2015-2016 state tests

As promised, the Ohio Department of Education has shortened the 2015-2016 state tests in English language arts and mathematics by a range of 39-50 percent from previous tests given in 2014-2015. Schools have flexibility to give an entire test on one day. Or, they may choose to give a test in two parts on two separate days. These two handouts describe testing times:
