Ohio's Academic Content Standards - Extended (OACS-E) provide students with significant cognitive disabilities ways to learn and demonstrate knowledge. At the same time, they maintain the rigor and high expectations of Ohio’s College and Career Ready Standards.
Ohio has joined 22 other states and Washington D.C. in the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers to develop assessments aligned to the new English language arts and mathematics standards and curricula. The assessments will be ready for implementation in 2014-2015.
