During the 2011-2012 school year, approximately 1,200 sites throughout Ohio used the Ohio Career Information System (OCIS) for academic and career exploration, planning, and decision-making. A site is defined as an organization, school building, agency or other entity that purchased an OCIS site license; the license allows individuals affiliated with the site to access OCIS using a site-specific user name and password. A majority of subscribing sites use the portfolio feature, and Individual Academic and Career Plan (IACP), to meet individual planning needs. The following are additional OCIS usage data for 2011-2012, as of June 30, 2012:
- 1,114,567 total OCIS logins for the year;
- Nearly 50 percent of total logins in Portfolio area;
- Nearly 100,000 new portfolios;
- A total of 462,184 active portfolio accounts; and
- More than 80,000 IACPs updated or initiated by students.
