The Office of Educator Licensure (OEL) is responsible for processing licensure applications and issuing licenses to qualified candidates. In addition, OEL provides licensure information and technical assistance to educators, schools, school districts, and colleges and universities that prepare educators.
Ohio Assessments for Educators Ohio Assessments for Educators is a new series of tests developed by the Evaluation Systems Group of Pearson. Beginning September 1, OAE will replace the Praxis II series as the required Ohio educator licensure assessments, except for world languages.
