Diagnostic Assessments Related Materials

The primary purpose of Ohio's diagnostic assessments, which are aligned to Ohio's New Learning Standards, is to provide a tool to check the progress of students toward meeting the standards.

Spring 2013 Ohio K-3 Diagnostics Field Test

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) will be developing new Ohio diagnostics assessments for reading (K-3), writing (K-3) and mathematics (K-2) for the school year 2013-14. The ODE will be conducting a field test March 18 – April 19, 2013.

    • The Request For Proposal (RFQ) titled “Comparable Assessments to Ohio’s Diagnostic Assessment for the Third Grade Reading Guarantee” has been posted above to invite vendors to send  documentation that indicates its’ diagnostic assessment meets the criteria stated in the RFQ that will allow the assessment to be included on the list of comparable, approved reading diagnostic assessments as required by the Third Grade Reading Guarantee.

The Definitions and Score Conversion Tables below are to be used only with the State Developed Diagnostic Assessments and not vendor diagnostic assessments.
