Alternative Education Challenge Grants

The Alternative Education Challenge Grant Program, funded by state general revenue funds and a minimum match of 40 percent local funds, is designed for students who are at-risk of school failure and other related problems. Since its inception in SFY2000, more than 142,000 students have been served by this program.
