Ohio GED Computer-based Testing Centers by County

Congratulations on your decision to take the GED® Computer-based Test! Like a regular high school diploma, you can use your GED® diploma to apply for jobs and promotions, to pursue a college degree or to reach your own personal goal.

The current 2002 series is scheduled to end on Dec. 31, 2013. If you have not passed one or more parts of the 2002 series, beginning Jan. 1, 2014, you will need to take the entire test and pass to receive your GED®. Prior scores will not be counted.

The cost of the computer-based GED® test (full battery) is $120. Each subject test is $24. You may only test three times with the paper-based test in a calendar year. For computer-based testing, you may test up to six times in a calendar year. You will have a 90-day waiting period before you can re-test after completing six times on the computer.

Before you schedule your GED® computer test date, you must first have a SAFE account with Ohio. If you do not have a SAFE account, you may establish one by clicking here.

Once you have a SAFE account, you will need to apply to take the (CBT) computer-based GED® test by clicking here. During your application process with Pearson Vue, you will need to provide your ODE SAFE account login information.

If you have questions about your registration or scheduling time, call 1-877-392-6433 during business hours (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Central Time).

Remember you must meet all age requirements to test. Click here.
