Guidelines for Seeking a Letter of Support
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce regularly receives requests from stakeholders seeking letters of support for proposals submitted to federal, state, city, or private organizations. Each request is reviewed to assess programmatic, fiscal, administrative, and legal implications. In addition, the request is reviewed to ensure the proposal is in alignment with the Department’s priorities, will benefit Ohio's education community, and achieve the desired outcomes.
The Department has established the following process for organizations seeking a letter of support.
Procedure
The applicant must submit an electronic request for a letter of support at least 14 business days prior to the application deadline. An exception to the submission deadline may be considered if the applicant demonstrates necessity.
The Department will review and respond to all requests as quickly as possible. If you have questions related to this process, contact LetterOfSupport@education.ohio.gov.
