New public comment opportunity for changes to EMIS guidelines

The Department recently posted a public comment opportunity for the following EMIS guidelines:
- 25-23 Clarify Preschool Special Education reporting guidance
- 25-32 Driver's Education as credit toward graduation
- 25-33 Office of Early Learning and School Readiness name change
- 25-36 New Career-Technical subject codes
- 25-61 New core area code and subject area for credit options
- 25-66 Updates Score Not Reported, option B description
- 25-79 Deletes Assignment Area Code Vocational Special Education Coordinator Services (999725)
- 25-80 Updates Required Assignment Area reporting
- 25-93 Adds reporting for Alt-OELPA modalities
- 25-101 Removes Score Not Reported, option R as valid option for the Child Outcome Summary
- 25-103 Eliminates receipt codes from the EMIS Manual Section 6.4
The deadline to submit comments is May 9. Complete details about the changes are available on the Fiscal Year 2025 EMIS Changes website.
EMIS guidelines that are subject to change are posted on the Department’s website for 30 days for public comment and for an additional 30 days with the Department's response to comments. Finally, the public can review the changes for 30 more days before they are final.
