Ohio Purple Star Summit to focus on supports for children in military families

The State Council of the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission, along with the Ohio National Guard Youth Program, is hosting the 2024 Ohio Purple Star Summit. This inaugural statewide meeting of educators and supporters of military-connected students will provide professional development for educators and school leaders to identify, celebrate, and support Ohio’s military families.

The summit is free to attend and will take place June 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Big Walnut High School, 713 Miller Drive, Sunbury, OH. Registration is open through May 7. Presentation descriptions for sessions offered are available. Contact Chip Merkle with questions.
