Ohio school receives U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon honor

The St. Dominic School in Shaker Heights was named a U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School. The school is one of 27 schools, five districts and four postsecondary institutions across the country being honored for innovative efforts to reduce environmental impact and utility costs, improve health and wellness, and ensure effective environmental and sustainability education. Nineteen states nominated a pool of candidates from which the U.S. Department of Education chose the honorees.
