No-cost English learner professional development for educators begins June
4/26/2024
Seats are open for Ohio educators to join the next cohort of Project ASSETS, Accelerating Student Success for ELs Through Scaffolded Support (Project ASSETS). Project ASSETS is a free English learner professional learning series that supports content teachers by providing practical knowledge and networking about ways to improve teaching English learners, developing formative assessments, and partnering with families. Participants gain knowledge about the English language proficiency standards in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
The 18-month program involves three-hour workshops and monthly Community of Practice sessions. The next Project ASSETS cohort begins in June. At the end of the series, participants receive a $300 stipend and a credential from the National Association of Bilingual Education.
