New public comment opportunity for EMIS guideline changes

Comment period open for 30 days

Ohio law allows EMIS users to review and provide public comment on new or updated EMIS guidelines. The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recently posted a public comment opportunity for the following EMIS guidelines:

• 26-10 Correct withdrawal reason 76 reporting guidance
• 26-25 Updates Exiting Student Follow-Up reporting
• 26-43 Updates Disadvantagement Element language
• 26-47 Updates correlated reporting for Career-Technical Education College Credit Plus (CCP) course
• 26-68 Updates How Received IRN Element table
• 26-73 Clarifies reporting of evaluation only preschool students

 
Complete details about the changes, including the deadlines to submit public comments, are available on the Fiscal Year 2026 EMIS Changes website. EMIS guidelines that are subject to change are posted on the Department’s website for 30 days for public comment and for an additional 30 days with the Department's response to comments.
