Medical reporting requirements reminder

4/9/2024

Ohio law requires schools to report medical information annually, including the number of students with diabetes enrolled, number of diabetic medication errors, and the procurement and administration of glucagon, inhalers, and epinephrine. For the 2023-2024 school year, public schools and community schools must report in the Education Management Information System (EMIS) by July 17, and nonpublic schools must report in the Nonpublic Data Collection System (NPDS) in the OHID portal by Aug. 31.

For more information, see the Department’s Supporting Students with Diabetes, Supporting Students with Asthma, and Supporting Students with Food Allergies webpages.
