2023 State Board of Education District Teacher of the Year cohort and Ohio Teacher of the Year finalists announced

The Ohio Department of Education is pleased to announce the 2023 State Board District Teacher of the Year cohort. From this cohort of regional honorees, four have been named finalists for the 2023 Ohio Teacher of the Year honor. Congratulations to the following teachers:
- Michelle Quinn, Versailles Exempted Village, State Board District 1 Teacher of the Year
- Dr. Katie Peters, Washington Local Schools, State Board District 2 Teacher of the Year
- Robbie Whorton, Vandalia-Butler City Schools, State Board District 3 Teacher of the Year
- Jeanne Rankin, Winton Woods City Schools, State Board District 4, Ohio Teacher of the Year finalist
- Deborah Schwertner, Revere Local Schools, State Board District 5 Teacher of the Year
- Jennifer Allen, Hilliard City School District, State Board District 6, Ohio Teacher of the Year finalist
- Melissa Kmetz, Lakeview Local School District, State Board District 7, Ohio Teacher of the Year finalist
- Kathleen Pugh, Canton City Schools, State Board District 8, Ohio Teacher of the Year finalist
- Leslie Croft, Coshocton City Schools, State Board District 9 Teacher of the Year
