Two Ohio schools held surprise events announcing Ohio’s 2023 Recognizing Inspirational School Employees (RISE) nominees. Beverly Payne, an elementary school secretary from Crestline Exempted Village School District, and Kristy Adams, a high school paraprofessional from Wickliffe City School District, will move forward as finalists for the national RISE Award.

The Department added three new literacy-focused courses to Ohio’s Learning Management System. Participants can receive contact hours for taking “Leading Adolescent Literacy,” “Peer Coaching for Literacy” and “Instructional Coaching for Literacy.”
