No-cost whole child training available Dec. 20-28
The Montgomery County Educational Service Center is hosting an introductory, virtual training titled “Supporting the Whole Child: Creating Trauma-Informed Social-Emotional Learning Schools” at no cost to anyone serving Ohio’s students. The information is intended to help educators and school personnel support students experiencing challenges and positively increase student mental health wellness. Participants will receive valuable tools to help address needs while strengthening student and staff wellness.
Interested participants can choose from eight dates offered Dec. 20-28.
After the three-hour training, participants will be able to identify:
- The impact that stress, trauma and adverse experiences have on the brain;
- Strategies that calm and regulate students and staff;
- Best practices for creating healthy communities and stronger relationships that decrease problematic behavior; and
- How to weave social-emotional learning competencies into the fabric of schools and classrooms.
