Ohio launches data portal for improved transparency

Recently, the State of Ohio’s InnovateOhio Platform team, in collaboration with multiple agencies, launched the DataOhio Portal—a first-of-its-kind public-facing portal for State of Ohio agencies, partners and citizens.

The user-friendly portal contains more than 200 datasets and 60 data visualizations collected from four state agencies to deliver transparency and value across the state. Currently, the portal contains education-related data on topics such as transitions from Ohio’s high schools to Ohio’s public universities or community colleges and results of Ohio’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey.

The vision of the DataOhio Portal is to be the centralized location for all State of Ohio data for key partners, local governments, researchers, reporters and citizens. The DataOhio Portal will continue to expand with datasets and visualizations from additional state agencies and new functionalities.

The DataOhio Portal journey begins at, where users can:

  • Explore the public and secured data available;
