Ohio School Boards Association recognizes school board superheroes

Next month is School Board Recognition Month, and education communities can join celebrations for dedicated local school board members and the important role that school boards play in Ohio communities and schools.

Each year, the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) prepares a toolkit for School Board Recognition Month to help districts recognize their local board members. The 2025 kit, themed “School Board Superheroes,” provides ideas for honoring board members and informing the community of their many contributions.

OSBA will mail posters and personalized certificates directly to district superintendents in late December for use at January recognition events. Districts are invited to submit celebration details, photos, or video links for School Board Recognition Month, and OSBA will highlight them on the OSBA website and in the OSBA Journal magazine.

Complete an online submission by Feb. 7 for publication in the Journal magazine.
