The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is proud to announce the release of a new episode of Field Trip, the video series that explores the education priorities shaping Ohio’s schools. Each installment highlights the success of educators and students making a difference in their communities.
The second installment of the series’ two-part feature, Building a Story, spotlights the literacy work underway in two exemplary districts. Episode two features Ashland City Schools and highlights how the district’s cross-content literacy instruction led to its recognition as the only middle school in Ohio to be awarded a Governor’s Science of Reading Champion designation in 2025.
