Approaching deadline for school policies prohibiting cell phone use

Ohio law requires each school district board of education, community school, and STEM school to adopt a policy that prohibits cell phone use by students during the instructional day by Jan. 1.

As the deadline approaches, schools and districts can review the Cell Phones in Ohio Schools webpage for information on the requirements for school cell phone policies and the model policy.  Direct questions to Sarah Music at prevention@education.ohio.gov.
