Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Tier 1 module series released

New series to support PBIS implementation

Tier 1 Schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Module Series is now available for schools and districts to meet the requirements of state law. The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce partnered with OCALI to develop a comprehensive series of 14 asynchronous online professional development modules, ideal for PBIS building teams.

Schools and districts can use the new online module series to support PBIS implementation in many ways:

• Provide new PBIS teams or members with the full module series sequentially
• Improve specific elements of PBIS implementation by accessing individual modules in the series
• Choose basic, intermediate, and advanced pathway training options that address the role various staff members have in PBIS implementation
• Ensure administrators, teachers, related services personnel, classified staff, families, and community partners can receive appropriate PBIS Professional Development

For teams that work with young children prekindergarten through grade three, the PBIS and Young Learners Series is also available and specifically designed to support PBIS implementation in early childhood settings.
