Register now: No-cost threat assessment team training this school year only

Educational service centers will offer free training to all schools and districts in the nationally recognized Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) model for the remainder of this school year only. This training fulfills requirements under Ohio law.

Course for school nurses helps address chronic absence

School nurses are a valuable partner to help students get to school every day. The National Association of School Nurses developed a course to assist school nurses as they address chronic absenteeism for health-related reasons.

Updated guidance related to preschool children identified as having developmental delay

Due to legislative changes, Ohio law expanded the definition of “child with a disability” as it pertains to the developmental delay disability category. The Department’s website has updated resources to reflect this change.
