2/27/2023

The Department, in partnership with schools and communities, will host an in-person celebration of Ohio's students committed to military service March 7 at the All-Ohio United States Armed Forces Career Commitment Celebration. Students with plans to attend a service academy, receive a Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship or enlist for active-duty service, the reserves, or the National Guard are invited to attend the ceremony. Registration is required.

This year’s celebration will take place at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, 300 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Tuesday, March 7, at 11 a.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. for check-in and museum access. The program will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Seating is limited and each student may bring only two guests. Students will register guests as part of their registration. Recruiters can attend as one of the guests of a student. Attendees can view the museum’s exhibits before and at the conclusion of the ceremony. Registration will close Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 11:59 p.m., or earlier if seating is full. On-site parking is available for $6. Veterans and service members park for free with validation. Register to attend the All-Ohio United States Armed Forces Career Commitment Celebration.

Not able to make it in person? School and district leaders can download this file and use its contents to plan a local military signing day. The toolkit includes a certificate template, signing document file and social media images that event organizers can customize with a specific date, time and location.
