The 2025 Summer Summit, themed Fun in the SUN, will be held Feb. 24-25 in Westerville.

Session topics include sourcing local foods, rural non-congregate meals, recipe standardization, program promotion and partnership strategies, creating innovative menus, program application and compliance, meal site supervisors’ responsibilities, and food safety.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), also known as SUN Meals, is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Department. The program reimburses sponsoring organizations for costs to provide meals for children 18 years of age and younger during periods when they are out of school. Summer meal sites provide activities, education, and services.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is committed to providing access and inclusion and reasonable accommodation in its services, activities, programs, and employment opportunities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable laws.
