The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching are the nation's highest honors for mathematics and science teachers. These awards recognize the vital role that America’s teachers and mentors play in shaping the next generation of technical leaders, such as scientists, engineers, explorers, and innovators.
In the coming months, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce will begin review for the selection of 2025 state finalists from science and math educators in grades 7-12. A national committee will select one teacher from each content category to receive a paid trip to Washington, D.C., a presidential proclamation, and a $10,000 award.
