$89 million available in Summer Learning and Afterschool Opportunities Grant
The Ohio Department of Education is seeking proposals for a share of the $89 million Summer Learning and Afterschool Opportunities Grant. The funds are available for school and community-based partners that provide out-of-school time services. The Department will evaluate proposals for programs designed to address students’ academic, social and emotional needs through a competitive grant process. These grants are part of the state’s federal relief funds.
A virtual bidders conference will take place Jan. 21 at 8 a.m. Attendance is not mandatory but is available for those who want to learn more about the grant. All potential applicants must complete the Intent to Apply before Feb. 1 to be eligible to submit a grant proposal. Grant proposals are due on or before Feb. 22, with funds awarded by March 24.
