New recruitment award supports schools in hiring service members, veterans, and military spouses

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is partnering with the Department of Veterans Services to introduce the Military Recruit award. This will support districts and schools in their efforts to recruit eligible military individuals for employment. Learn more about the requirements and application process.

CPR and AED training in Ohio high schools

Ohio law requires public high schools to provide instruction in CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators (AED) to all students. The American Heart Association is currently offering a free training program on a first-come, first-serve basis to assist public high schools in meeting this graduation requirement.

Sign Language Interpretation at the 2024 Ohio State Fair
