List of Approved Assessments available

The Department has updated the List of Approved Assessments for the 2022-2023 school year in the following areas:

• Comparable Assessments to Ohio’s K-3 Diagnostic Assessment for the Third Grade Reading Guarantee (K-3 Diagnostic);
• Alternative Standardized Assessment for the Third Grade Reading Guarantee (Alt Reading);
• Alternative Standardized Assessment for Grades 3-8 (Alt 3-8);
• Alternative High School Assessments for Graduation (Alt HS);
• High Quality Student Data (HQSD); and
• Gifted Prescreening and Identification (Gifted Assessment).

These updates include additions to several areas such as High Quality Student Data and Gifted Assessment. Following changes under OTES 2.0, the categories of Growth Measure now are included within High Quality Student Data area and Student Survey has been removed. Additional information is available at OTES 2.0. The Department will add approved instruments for optional dyslexia screening later.
