Watch Live: Ohio Teacher of the Year finalists announcement to be held July 26

The 2022 cohort of State Board of Education District Teachers of the Year and four Ohio Teacher of the Year finalists will be announced virtually on the Department’s website Monday, July 26 at 3 p.m.

These outstanding educators were nominated by parents, students, colleagues, community members and administrators for their passion and dedication to the teaching profession. Through a rigorous selection process, teachers are recognized first as regional State Board of Education District Teachers of the Year. From these regional honorees, four finalists will be considered for the Ohio Teacher of the Year honor and represent Ohio in the National Teacher of the Year program.

The mission of this program is to provide opportunities for professional growth and leadership to exemplary teachers as advocates for public education.

Join State Board of Education President Laura Kohler, Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria and 2021 Ohio Teacher of the Year and 2022 Ohio Teacher Fellow Anthony Coy-Gonzalez in celebrating these teachers as representatives of Ohio’s outstanding community of educators.
