Emergency medical waivers for state assessments deadline extended to June 7

As previously announced in EdConnection, the emergency medical waiver application window for students unable to take one or more assessments due to a medical emergency opened May 15. 

Previously, a security precaution resulted in some school personnel not being able to submit waiver applications. In response, the Department extended the original deadline. The Department has recently discovered a system error is affecting some districts that are trying to complete their applications. Efforts are underway to resolve the issue. To allow school personnel time to complete the waiver, the Department is extending the deadline to submit waiver applications once again. The newly revised deadline is June 7.
