New College Credit Plus program provision: Statewide Innovative Waiver Pathway

The Statewide Innovative Waiver Pathway option is primarily implemented by institutions of higher education with one or more industry partners. However, any public district and nonpublic secondary school may participate in a partnership with an institution offering the waiver pathway in their area. The statewide implementation of waiver pathways will allow institutions, industry partners, and secondary schools to work together toward meeting Ohio’s workforce needs while empowering students to succeed in their academic and career goals.

The guidelines and procedures for this waiver option have been approved by the chancellor of Higher Education, in consultation with the director of the Department of Education and Workforce per Ohio law as outlined in Chancellor Directive 2024-012.
