Provide feedback on the Medicaid in School program and attend stakeholder meeting

6/24/2024

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is hosting a webinar July 10 at noon for stakeholders to provide input on proposed changes to the Ohio Medicaid School Program. This program is a partnership between the Ohio Department of Medicaid and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to support school-based therapies for students. Currently, the program is available to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) who are enrolled in Medicaid. Changes are being made to the program because of funding included in the state’s biennium budget that are aimed at increasing availability to more students with disabilities.

Register here for the upcoming webinar. The meeting agenda will cover potential updates to the Medicaid School Program, including proposals to allow more students to access services and increase the services covered. School-based providers, school districts, community organizations, and families are encouraged to provide feedback regarding these proposed changes.
