Video helps parents protect children from identity theft

3/1/2021

In honor of National Consumer Protection Week, the Ohio Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section created a video to guide parents through the process of placing a security freeze on their children’s credit reports. Security freezes are free and may protect children from identity theft. It is vital that parents take action to protect their children from this threat. Placing a security freeze on their children’s credit reports is an important step parents can take to keep kids safe.
