Seeking comment on model curriculum for instruction on student interactions with peace officers

Per Ohio law, the Ohio departments of Education and Public Safety, in collaboration with stakeholders, developed a draft model curriculum for instruction in grades 9-12 on interactions with peace officers. The draft is open for public comment until March 28 at 4 p.m.

Reminder: OTES 2.0 recredentialing

OTES 2.0 evaluators will receive a reminder email to recredential 60 days before the expiration date of the OTES 2.0 credential.

The Department regularly posts rules for public comment. However, the Department has not posted any new rules since the last edition of EdConnection. Find previously announced public comment opportunities for rules and related deadlines on the Department’s website. Check back often as additional rules may be added throughout the week.

Virtual meetup for related service professionals planned for March 15

The Department is hosting a virtual meetup for related service professionals March 15 at 3:30 p.m. This event is specially designed for Ohio’s special education related service professionals and administrators, but all are welcome to attend.

World Book Online provides engaging, vetted and standards-aligned digital resources for students in grades preK-12. World Book resources are provided at no cost to Ohio schools by INFOhio and Libraries Connect Ohio.
