3/25/2025

Changes posted for 30 days for review

Ohio law allows Education Management Information System (EMIS) users to review and provide public comment on new or updated EMIS guidelines. The Department recently posted a public comment opportunity for the following EMIS guidelines:
  • 26-1 Removes early college high school program code
  • 26-11 Removes delivery model and connectivity reporting
  • 26-51 Clarifies reporting guidance for Tier 2 Dyslexia Screener results
  • 26-53 Updates description for subject code 150308
  • 26-54 Clarifies full time equivalent (FTE) reporting for contracted staff
  • 26-64 Updates Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan (RIMP) program codes

Complete details about the changes, including the deadlines to submit public comments, are available on the Fiscal Year 2026 EMIS Changes website. EMIS guidelines that are subject to change are posted on the Department’s website for 30 days for public comment and for an additional 30 days with the Department's response to comments. Finally, the public can review the changes for 30 more days before they are final.
