Grant opportunity establishes tutoring programs to accelerate K-12 learning

The Ohio departments of Education and Higher Education recently announced a $20 million grant opportunity that will address learning disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this new grant program, colleges and universities will create and implement mathematics and literacy tutoring programs for Ohio students. This partnership between higher education and K-12 schools will give college students who are studying to become teachers invaluable experience in the field, while students receive intensive supports to accelerate learning. Tutoring programs are expected to begin as early as this summer.
