Month of the Military Child highlights ways to support military-connected students

April opportunities to highlight Month of the Military Child

April marks the nationally recognized Month of the Military Child, a time to honor and celebrate military-connected students. Schools may choose to complete this activity as part of their Purple Star designation.  

Schools can also participate in the United Service Organization’s Military Kids Creative Showcase and the Ohio Council of the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission’s Military Family Spirit Week April 13-17.  

The Military Child Education Coalition, Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission, and the Kids Mental Health Foundation offer additional resources.
