Suicide prevention funding opportunity

5/15/2023

The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation, PreventionFIRST! and the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital are seeking partners to support the expansion of several youth suicide prevention programs, including:

  • Sources of Strength, an evidence-based program for students in grades K-12 that uses curricula and strategic messaging campaigns to build protective factors and transform school culture;
  • Be Present Ohio: The Online Experience, an evidence-informed program that teaches foundational suicide prevention skills to 13- to 18-year-olds through a series of interactive online learning modules; or
  • Kognito, which offers evidence-based, on-demand virtual trainings to administrators, educators and students.

Schools, school partners, youth-led groups, not-for-profit organizations and government organizations can apply for $3,000 to $18,000 in funding to support expansion of one or more of the above programs in their region. Proposals are due Monday, July 10, at 5 p.m. Additional information is on the Request for Proposals webpage.
