Upcoming webinars on STEM/STEAM Designation rubric updates

5/20/2024

School leaders are invited to join the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and the Ohio STEM Learning Network for two informative webinars to review recent updates to the STEM and STEAM Designation Rubric and written application.

These webinars will introduce the minor updates to the STE(A)M Designation Rubric and application process. These updates do not impact what is being assessed. The modifications of the written application are based on input from designation reviewers and are designed to further support schools in the evidence sharing process.

The STE(A)M Designation Rubric, essential for achieving excellence in STEM and STEAM education, soon will feature clearer guidelines based on recent feedback. These updates aim to clarify application language and enhance the evidence-sharing process for schools.

All STEM- and STEAM-designated schools, as well as schools aspiring to achieve STEM designation, should attend this event.

Presenters:

  • Sarah Redick, STEM Education Program Specialist, Ohio Department of Education and Workforce
  • Sandra Wilder, Senior STEM Relationship Manager, Ohio STEM Learning Network

Learn about the changes to the STEM designation process and the latest standards in STEM education.
