Congratulations and thank you for a great school year

Whether it’s your first year in education or your career is well underway, the end of the academic year is always a time to recognize the many achievements in our schools. From celebrating students’ individual learning gains to congratulating this year’s graduates, every child’s success is the result of many caring individuals working on their behalf. Thank you to everyone working in our schools for the countless ways you made a difference for students. As you wrap up this school year, I encourage you to reflect on those moments of personal fulfillment and remember the times when your efforts uplifted the school community.

Ohio’s students and families benefited from not only your expertise and guidance, but also the bright and welcoming greetings you offered in the morning. You made their days better because of the times you noticed when they might be having an off day. You sparked their interests and revealed new career possibilities thanks to the extra time you took to make a lesson come alive. These meaningful connections are what keep students engaged in their educational experience and ensure they are positioned to succeed in every avenue they pursue.

I applaud you for your hard work this school year and extend my gratitude for your continued support of Ohio’s students and families.
