Student opportunity: Columbus Association for the Performing Arts ARISE Scholars Program

5/20/2025

Application deadline May 23

High school students interested in fine arts and earning volunteer hours are invited to apply by May 23 for the ARISE Scholars Program (ARts through Intergenerational Social Engagement). This opportunity is open to all high school students across the state.

This five-week intergenerational program takes place July 1 through Aug. 7 and provides students currently in grades 9-12 with the opportunity to earn service hours, volunteer in the community, and experience how the fine arts can support wellness.

Students accepted into the program will attend two training sessions, one weekly prep session held at CAPA on Tuesdays, and one weekly session with older adults from Golden Buckeye Center for Dementia Caregiving in Columbus. There is a $100 travel stipend available to all commuting students.

The ARISE Scholars program is a collaboration between CAPA, GrowIN, and The Ohio State University.
