Schools can now opt in to offer college admission directly to eligible students
5/5/2026
Opt-in period for Ohio Direct Admission open until July 15
The K-12 opt‑in process for Ohio Direct Admission is now open. Through the Ohio Direct Admission Program, participating colleges and universities can proactively offer admission to eligible students at participating high schools using information the high school already maintains, such as GPA, class rank, or standardized test scores.
The Management Council is developing a portal to facilitate the process. Students at participating schools in the class of 2027 will be eligible to participate.
Find more information about the Direct Admission Program, including the K-12 opt-in process, map of participating higher education institutions, and program FAQs, on the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s website.
