Apply for statewide panels to inform special education policy

The American Institutes for Research (AIR) has partnered with the Department to identify the best practices and associated costs of providing special education and related services to students with disabilities in Ohio. To accomplish this, AIR is recruiting expert practitioners to serve on panels that will inform policy. Potential panelists should be exceptionally familiar with educational programs that are known to produce positive outcomes for students with disabilities.

The Department is seeking participants, including administrators, educators, service providers and parent mentors, to serve on these panels. Interested parties can complete the online application by Friday, May 20, at 11:59 p.m. The Department encourages the education community to share this opportunity with individuals who could contribute to a discussion about best practices for providing special education and related services to students with disabilities.
