Differentiated monitoring guides aim to support schools, districts and personnel while ensuring compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The Department regularly posts rules for public comment. Recently, rules related to the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program, standards for measuring sponsor compliance, early child education screening and assessment and pupil transportation opened for comment.
Additionally, draft revisions to rules related to homeschool education and non-chartered, non-tax supported school standards are newly posted.

Students may feel overwhelmed when they lack the skills to effectively search for and find the best materials to support their learning. Educators can become a guide for students and help them find and make sense of that information and place it in a context that applies to their studies.

Each year, the Ohio STEM Learning Network’s Sticker Design Contest provides a place for students to showcase their creativity and artistic skills. Students can submit sticker designs for this year’s statewide design challenge, the #STEMorbitsOhio Design Challenge, presented in partnership with Starlab.
