Seeking Sources of Strength suicide prevention program trainers

The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, in partnership with the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation and PreventionFIRST!, is seeking individuals to participate in two upcoming train-the-trainer opportunities for the Sources of Strength Secondary and Elementary Programs:

  • Sources of Strength Elementary Curriculum – Dec. 9-10, 2020: Trainers will receive stipends of $125 per day for a total of $250 at the completion of the training. Coaches are required to host a minimum of two trainings throughout the year with a school or other youth-serving organization. Principals, teachers and key stakeholders are invited to learn more about the latest move in upstream prevention. Register Here.
  • Sources of Strength Secondary Program – Dec. 14-17, 2020: Trainers will receive stipends of $125 per day for a total of $500 at the completion of training. Trainers will be required to host a minimum of two trainings throughout the year with a school or other youth-serving organization. Register Here.

Sources of Strength is a universal suicide prevention program designed to build socioecological protective influences around youth and reduce the likelihood that vulnerable youth and young adults will become suicidal.
