Ornaments from Lakota Central High School students on display during National Tree Lighting
11/28/2022
This year, ornaments created by students at Lakota Central High School in West Chester will be on display alongside the National Christmas Tree. The 100th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting will take place Nov. 30 on the Ellipse in President’s Park at the White House.
Surrounding the National Christmas Tree are 58 smaller trees representing states, territories, the Bureau of Indian Education and the Department of Defense Education Activity. Students at Lakota Central High School created the ornaments decorating Ohio’s tree. Students create the ornaments as a part of the “America Celebrates” ornament program.
