Register now: Ohio Learns 360 Family Webinar Series starts Oct. 12

How can families help students learn at home, what impact can families have on learning growth for students and what resources are available to help families boost student learning? On Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m., the first Ohio Learns 360 Family Webinar will address those questions. The first webinar is called Closing the Learning Gap and will feature Dr. Barbara Boone.

Dr. Boone is the principal investigator and director of the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center at The Ohio State University in the Center on Education and Training for Employment.  She leads a team focused on improving partnerships between home, school and communities for the education of children of all ages. She was previously an early childhood teacher, parent educator, education consultant and a director at the Ohio Department of Education. A mother of three children who all graduated from public schools in Ohio, Dr. Boone takes a child-centered approach to education. She recognizes that every child will learn, grow and live fulfilling lives when they are supported by their families, schools and communities.
